Extreme caution must be used when removing jammed product from product chute and cutting blade to avoid personal injury or damage to moving parts!

When product jam occurs, SHUT POWER to the Slicer OFF!

When applicable, apply pressure to the Blade Brake until Blade comes to a complete stop. If your slicer does not have a Blade Brake, wait until the Blade coasts to a complete stop before proceeding.

Turn Thickness Adjustment Knob (Model 270 & 270C) clockwise to open the space between the Blade and the Lower Chute.

You are ready to safely use the Dutchess Bagel Pusher to dislodge the jammed product.

After removing jammed product, turn Thickness Adjustment Knob counter clockwise to desired setting and resume slicing.
