American Eagle AE-VS12NH/SK Vegetable Cutter Slicing Disk with Holder

This is a good sized slicing plate for the AE-VS12NH. It would be ideal for slicing thin cucumbers for a Korean/Greek style cold salad. We like the heavy duty feel of the assembly. Originally, we were quite excited to see an 'adjustable' plate- definitely an innovation. However, it turns out that the adjustments are manual and time consuming. You will probably need protective gloves, as we found the blades too sharp to handle alone. In order to change the slice sizes, spacers have to be added after unscrewing 4 small screws holding the stainless steel blades in place. We recommend setting the thickness and not changing it. If your operation truly has a need for multiple slice thicknesses, we recommend getting multiple plates. In the long run, it will save you a lot of headache.
